Ontario’s Distance Education & Training Network
Get a degree, diploma or certificate or upgrade your skills through online learning without having to leave the community.
Over 4 million Ontarians across the province can participate in online and distance programs and courses from Ontario’s 24 public colleges, 22 public universities and 250 literacy and basic skills and training providers without having to leave their community by accessing the services available from Contact North.
Students have free use of computers with high-speed Internet at local centres to connect to their online courses and complete their course work. Students also have a quiet place to complete their course work, link with other students in informal support groups and write supervised exams.
Contact North | Contact Nord is funded by the Ontario government, and there is no cost for students to use the local online learning centres.

Ontario’s Distance Education and Training Network, Contact North | Contact Nord provides a comprehensive set of services to students and Ontario’s publicly assisted colleges, universities, school boards, literacy, basic skills and other training providers (education and training providers). Contact North |Contact Nord is funded by the Ontario government.

We support students and prospective students to take distance education and online courses and programs from Ontario’s public education and training providers. We provide the following services:

What kind of programs and courses are available?
The education and training partners offer a wide range of online programming, from academic upgrading, completion of high school, college certificates and diplomas, university degrees, as well as post graduate programs at the Masters level. We can assist you in finding the program or course you are looking for.
